Recruitment Process
The recruitment process is a way for the brothers of Theta Chi to get to know you. An ideal recruit actively attends and spends time with members of the fraternity at recruitment events. It is important for us to feel like we know you well and get a feel of who you are and how your values compare with those of Theta Chi. Only once we have confirmed that you are a good match with our brothers will you be extended a bid to join Theta Chi Fraternity as a pledged member.
The Pledging Process
The pledging process is an extremely important component of the Greek system. Many times this is where you will meet the closest friends of your college career, and in many cases, your life. The bonds formed with your fellow pledges really exemplify the reason we call each other “brothers.” There will be many activities for the pledges to further strengthen the ties among each class of pledges. With your pledge family you will attend new member education and learn about the history of our fraternity; Starting with the Alpha Chapter at Norwich University all the way up to our recent founding a University of Missouri. It is important to learn both where we come from and our values to make sure that you are well informed of your decision to join Theta Chi’s ranks because membership in Theta Chi is for life.
